Short-Term Sub-Letting in London, UK

I would like to engage in short-term / holiday subletting in London for more than 90 days in a calendar year.

Not sure how to start given the planning permission requirement.

I don't own / rent any properties yet and would like to obtain legal permission to sublet before doing that step.

Anyone with experience / ideas?

@Marlon139 The clever people will tell you that

a) Finding a landlord willing to allow you to sublet for Airbnb/STR is near impossible and

b) Getting planning permission to rent in London for more than 90 days is actually impossible.

I actually already found one, just haven't sealed the deal yet because I want to sort the planning permission issue out first.

Why is that actually impossible? 

What if I were to own the property myself instead of renting and subletting it - would that change anything?

@Marlon139 The London hosts who used to post here always said that planning permission was always turned down to go over 90 days. You could try calling a planning department and ask them but I don't know if they will talk to you.
