Short term rental insurance options

Hi folks! New host here. I know I need STR insurance but I’m afraid to ask my homeowners insurance firm for fear of cancellation. I requested a quote from proper, but they said they could only cover liability because of brush fires. I live in Arizona. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I would speak to a local insurance broker and ask them to get you some quotes. You won't be covered by your standard home insurance - so something that you ideally need to sort out before you start hosting @Teresa1505

Hi Teresa, did you figure you’re insurance out?  My local insurance just tripled due to STR.  I’m looking for suggestions regarding STR insurance. I think I’m going online for this vs local insurance which seems really high.  To the point that it isn’t feasible in my demographic.  Going online is a little scary too.
