Subpoena email regarding taxes Florida

Hi, 

has any of you host received an email from Airbnb in regards  of hosting records subpoena for taxes in you county. 

I am in Broward County. I’ll appreciate if anyone knows what is this about it.

@Paul7826 From what I can figure out Airbnb have released all their records with respect to your Airbnb earnings (and others in your state/county. There is nothing to worry about, and you will hear nothing more,  provided you have properly declared such earnings.

Hi Paul, its me, Hans from #318.

Of course I have got the same letter. I spoke with my tax advisor. He recommended that I definitely not contact Broward County. He told me to find a contact at airbnb. That's who he wants to talk with. But it is not so easy to find a contact at airbnb. Do you know a contact person?

I received the same email from airbnb and now I received 3 letters from Broward county. Spoke with the auditor at Broward and the are pursuing the payment although I bought my property after the date they're claiming the owed taxes. My issue is that the previous owner handed me his airbnb account and we changed all the info to match ours, so now airbnb has reported that the account was on my name since day 1 and the County now says im the responsible for paying. Sent the warranty deed with the purchase date and they don't care; im trying to contact an attorney for this matter. Anybody had a similar situation ?
