Suspended listing.

Over Christmas, I had a guest in my caravan. I had 2 calls from the site, saying she was causing havoc.  They said she and her partner were steaming drunk and were driving their car on grassy areas where cars are not allowed. They got their car stuck in the mud and were abusive to the stag who offered to help them. I was in contact with airbnb the whole time and spoke to them on the phone a couple of times. They and the site asked the guests to leave but they refused and airbnb just left them there.  They left mud and dog faeces in my caravan and my rug and doormats disappeared, along with a set of keys. She tried to steal a Christmas tree from the bar and got violent with a pool cue when they stopped her. The police were called to her twice.   I provided airbnb with pictures of the aftermath and claimed £37 for extra cleaning and a new set of keys.  Although airbnb were involved all along, they've now suspended me because of her poor review.  I'm very inclined to just leave airbnb.

Hello Lesley,

It is rather unconvenient series of event and I am sorry for what happened.
I had totally different problem: I was a guest and my host actively stole my laptop and wallet and trashed my belongings. I went through all the procedures: police report, Air Cover, Airbnb Help Centre - nothing. Yesterday I joined the forum and I have started to spread the this link in various posts: https://www.airbnbclassactionlawsuit.com/ . This is a class action specific for the guests/hosts whom reviews or profile have disappeared. What I can tell is that in less than 24hrs Airbnb issued a refund.

If you can please check my story on Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/KDzAYTEKBTS5REzu7  (Being on another platform Airbnb can't really removed my review).

Hope it will help

Im sorry this happened but I am surprised you didn't ask Airbnb to cancel the guests booking and evict the guest when you got reports from the site about how disruptive the guest was being . This certainly wasn't fair to the staff on site and other guests. @Lesley552

I would contact customer services at Airbnb if the guest review breaks their T&C and ask for it to be removed as a retaliatory review.

The site said they were afraid to ask them to leave because they were so drunk. It's in the middle of nowhere and they had a small child with them and the police were concerned about encouraging drink driving. However, I did ask airbnb to ask them to leave. They did this and the guest just refused and airbnb left it at that.

When you say Airbnb asked the guest to leave do you mean they cancelled the booking? If so then it's then the hosts responsibility to go to the listing and ensure the guest leaves. @Lesley552

Hopefully you left an honest review of these awful guests to warn future hosts.

They called the guest and told her to leave. I'm 200 miles away so I couldn't get there. I did write an honest review. She wrote a review that was full of lies. This was why they suspended me. I appealed and they reinstated me but left her awful review up. So I complained about that and they took it down but left my review of her up. She then replied to my review saying all the same awful things and they said that was fine.  After some argument they said the only way they could remove it was to remove my review of her, along with her reply. I agreed to this and they tell me they've done it but, every time I go to her reviews it's still there.  After she left my van she went to another on the site and broke one of their doors. They've billed her and she's written the same sort of review of them, saying she's taking THEM to court.
