Taxes Collected by Airbnb in Surfside Beach, SC

Hello my fellow Airbnb Hosts!  I received a notice from Airbnb in early 2025 that they are now collecting all applicable taxes for my condo in Surfside Beach.  Up until this year, I have been remitting the 1.5% to Horry County and the 1.5% to Surfside Beach and Airbnb collected and remitted the 9% SC taxes.  I had a March 2025 rental and all the numbers looked good (12% total).  Woohoo!  I have new reservations that are coming up and now the numbers are off...collecting a total of 11%.  Argh!!!   Anybody else seeing this or know how to correct this with Airbnb?

 The view from your condo is unrivalled -I love that you're straight on the beach 😍

Have you managed to get clarity on this tax change since last week? @Morgan851, who also hosts in Surfside Beach, might know more otherwise!
