Anyone get a guest who is an "influencer" and wants to put your listing on social media? I have an online business where I sometimes get these requests for free stuff (no thanks) but recently had such an inquiry on Airbnb. The prospective guest is interested in booking and mentions their "influencer" status. Is this another attempt at freebies? Are you aware of anyone who has advertised your space on social media or have you gotten an inquiry like this?
@Fred13 @Lawrene0 @Jessica-and-Henry0 This reminds me of one of my favorite YouTube skits: https://youtu.be/VXMNirmddTA
What a lovable hustler.
Fred what have you done with your taste????
I find nothing lovable about a loudmouthed mousey blonde with a mass of pink lipstick.
To spend an hour with that would be my idea of torture!!!!
Cheers.......Rob
Oh I was being factitious; she looks like a woodchuck with a blonde wig on.

As a food writer and photographer, I have collaborated with venues to provide them with quality photos and write ups that help share their story. In return, I receive free stays and meals. It's always been a win/win. My talents have value and I receive value in return. It's not a scam, it's called bartering and that's a system that was around long before currency.
It all depends on the individuals involved, of course, and the needs of the host. But if a host needs high quality photos and could use some extra publicity and the influencer is legitimate and offers a service that is of value to the host - why not? You could always charge up front and then refund the cost when you receive the photo or the contract is fulfilled.
