Thinking of renting our second home out for holidays

Could I ask you a question. Do people have companies that cleans your rental for you? We have a house in Ballymote - Ireland that we are thinking of putting on Air B&B, but we live in the UK and we would need someone to clean etc. on turnover days. Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated. Regards Helen

Being so far away from your property, I wouldn't just hire someone to clean. Even if you offer self check in, you need a co-host to keep an eye on things, check that the property is not only being cleaned but also presented to a high standard in between every guest and be on hand to deal with any issues that might come up. At the least, you need to have a neighbour who is willing to let you know if something untoward is happening at the property and exterior cameras (make sure these are clearly disclosed on the listing) to keep an eye on things.

There are companies who can do this for you for a fee or you can hire an individual to co-host. You might find the latter by posting on this CC.
