UTAH LAWS, REGULATIONS & ZONING FOR AIRBNB

UTAH LAWS, REGULATIONS & ZONING FOR AIRBNB

Y'all need to check with the city/county to see if the property is zoned. During my research, I read, Salt Lake City Code does not allow any rental of a property for durations of time shorter than thirty days, thus prohibiting the use of rentals like Airbnb’s. All properties above state street are prohibited. Hosts to have a business license, insurance (The people who rent your Airbnb are not required to get or have insurance) This is the Host's responsibility. Some Cities have more requitements. so, check with the city. Of course, if the property is not zoned for Airbnb, you don't need to go any further. It is a class C misdemeanor & additional fines if you are out of compliance.

I rent at an apartment complex that just started allowing people/hosts to have an Airbnb. **
