Unable to add RFC and Tax Info to my MEXICO listing

Im both a Mexican National and a U.S. National, who lives in the U.S., and who owns an apartment in Mexico City.

I have registered with SAT, have my CURP, my INE, and have a Mexican bank account for the AIRBNB payouts of my apartment.

I’ve registered my Mexican bank account on AIRBNB for the payouts, however, when I try to add my tax information and try to add my RFC, for the tax on the income from the payouts, the app does not allow me to add it. Ive tried adding my Mexican Tax information multiple times, but the app does NOT allow me. The app gives me a message that reads:

Tax information for the countries / regions selected is not required from you at this time. We'll reach out if there's anything you need to do.”

I go to “Taxpayer Information” and then go to the section that says “Mexico, Colombia, or India” but once I click on the section, it won’t allow me to add my RFC, or any other  Mexican Tax information. It only says, “Tax information for the countries/regions selected is not required from you at this time.”

Once again I’m a Mexican National who has registered with SAT, who has a CURP, has an INE, and who has a Mexican bank account for the payouts. The address for the airbnb listing is obviously a Mexican address in Mexico City, but the app will still not let me add my Mexican Tax information.

Does the app not automatically identify the address of the home and allow you to input the tax information for that country? Or does the app have some type of algorithm that recognizes me as a U.S. resident and for that reason doesn’t allow me input my Mexico Tax Information.

*Also, when I initially listed my apartment, the app would allow me to input my Mexico Tax Info, but now it does not. Even after various attempts.

Im VERY, VERY, frustrated with this issue and need to input my RFC, otherwise im gonna get hit with the automatic 20% income tax and 16% IVA for the guests.

Has anybody had the same issue and been able to resolve it? Please, any suggestions are VERY welcomed.

Hi @Jorge2996

I'm sorry you've been having some trouble getting this information on your listing.

I saw in 👉 this thread that you'd found another host's advice useful on the matter. Do you need any more help with this, or is it all resolved now?

Thanks,

Emilie
