Unavailable Currency

Hi! My name is Laura, and I am new in this community. 

I lived in Indonesia and when I was about to book a trip in Indonesia, I assume that I would be paying in Indonesian Rupiah, but the currency option does not list that; making it unavailable for me to see the total amount of the booking in Indonesian Rupiah.

Should there be any suggestions or solutions, they would be very much appreciated.

yeah, i got the same problem as well. Many of guest cancel to book with me because they fail to complete the payment. It is really troublesome for me if the guest can't pay via IDR. Please Airbnb help us fix this issue.... It is bad for business.

Betul, saya banyak kehilangan tamu karena kegagalan booking ini, selalu muncul :

"we can’t complete this payment in indonesian rupiah. To continue booking, please select another payment method or change your currency"

saya sudah kontak call center dan ngga ada yang bisa selesaikan masalahnya.

apakah sudah ada host yg coba ubah harganya menjadi USD dan hilang masalahnya ?

I just contacted airbnb customer service regarding on this issue and here's what they say. Well i guess we can only share the petition or give feedback as they suggested https://www.airbnb.ie/help/feedback

Anyone resolve with this problem? I think some host dont want to paid with IDR. but, mostly user in Airbnb same problem with me. in process of booking refuse to pay with IDR and change to another currency. it makes me a little bit worry ( especially pay with CC ). whereas, i got cheap villa / home in my destination with good reviews. pls airbnb fix this problem

we have no choice but to change to USD or non IDR currency, this is the only solution at this moment

Hi, i have same issue. I just booked room on airbnb today, bit confused about the payment because its not support IDR currency. So i tried to click help tab about the payment method and it automatically conversed the amount to USD. Then i finished the payment with USD currency. Hope it helps 🙂

Strange in my case, at first I can search and explore the properties using IDR, but when I want to pay with CC it doesn't allow me to pay using IDR, so I switched the currency to JPY because I want to book the properties in Japan.

After the payment, when I want to switch the currency back to IDR, the it wasn't available anymore...

I have the same problem, I think if we wanna book a room/house in Indonesia we have to use other service (we have plentty of them)  , its useless to ask airbnb anyway.

Might be it is because AirBNB had been not paying taxes since they entered Indonesia and using our Indonesian Rupiah as currency payment. Indonesian Ministry of Finance forbid them using IDR until they process their previous tax obligations.

Hi AirBNB. You have Malaysian Ringgit, Thai Bath, Philippine Peso, but not Indonesia Rupiah. We probably contributes the most amongst other asean countries as tourist. Please put back our currency.

So unfair. It's a bit annoying that they first display the price in IDR and in payment time they change to other currency.
