VAT ID verification failed for two straight years

I’ve been trying to get my VAT ID verified for what seems like about two years.  I’ve entered the information on the Airbnb website exactly as it appears on the revenue website too many times to count.  And it fails to verify every time.  I’ve made numerous attempts to resolve this with both Airbnb and the Irish revenue service and nobody has an answer as to why my VAT ID won’t verify.  Now I am getting a message from Airbnb that my payouts will be suspended if all my tax info including VAT ID is not complete.  I’m exasperated.  Has anyone else encountered this issue?
