VAT, Portugees new reg. For non residents

Hi Family, since a few days i got a warning message from my Portugees agent that from now on i have to start my VAT duties and hé has to submit each three months thru an accountant to thé Portugees authorities. 

In thé past this was not needed as i was exempt due to thé fact that m'y rentals income was below thé 12000 EUR. 

But my agent Saïd that as a non résident i Can still keep thé exempt of Vat duties but then I have to go to thé Belgian authorities (I AM Belgian citizen)  without giving me more informations. Did somebody heard thé same story? Cheers, Hugues

I would speak to an accountant in your country with experience of dual taxation Belgium/ Portugal and ask for their professional advice . @Hugo1109
