As the property owner, the listing should normally be in your name while you add any property manager as a co-host. The banking information should also be yours so payouts go directly to you while you pay the co-host as per agreed percentage. I would report this co-host to AirBNB as scam and see how they handle it. All the best Ricky. Please keep us informed when you finally resolves it and how it was resolved.

@Ricky253 I would refer to your contract with this person and then, assuming it is allowed, take back control of your property.

Many thanks, your advice is much appreciated. We currently only have a few short bookings, so it should be easier to take back control of our property. Their contract is with her,not us.

@Ricky253 She's not managing your property, she's stealing from you. You need to start the process now for wresting your property from out of her hands. Since you don't have a property showing under your profile, it appears that she has sole control through AirBnB.

Take whatever legal action you can, as well as any other action you can take to take control of your own property. It will be a challenge, but the sooner you start the sooner you'll take control.

Many thanks. We have been very patient with her,but it has now reached a point where we have to take action to stop our losses mounting further.

That's very much appreciated. I don't think she has set out to do this (we have had no problems in several previous years), but i think personal issues have caused her to use the payment to settle her own debts, rather than pay us.

You are right,we should have set up in our name, but didn't know enough about the system when we first used her.She has at least one other property in her portfolio and i would assume they are in the same position.

My next step may be to change the locks and tell her to cancel future bookings (there are only a few).It depends on her response to my communications with her.
