Where do I post my rental license number?

I know I have seen it somewhere.....but just spent a half hour trying to find it again. Ugh! The site is so un-intunitive.

@Kendall16 That message would be for two reasons: either your local authorities doesn't require you to add a license, or you already have added it to the system  —if neither of those is the case, then I would contact Airbnb support directly and have them assist you. Sorry I cannot be more help; I have always had the option to add a license. Liz

I don’t see “regulations” under arrival guide

It's not under the Arrival Guide - it's to the right of the Arrival Guide as explained in Best Answer - the three lines on top of each other is where you'll find Regulations. Not obvious I'll grant you😉

Yes I saw the three dots part but I still don’t see regulations. The problem is our jurisdiction needs to see the number before people book. In bisbee most people post in the first section under description.

That's strange I have to say as I can see that you are with the Photo Tour and that's where I have entered my official registration number.  It appears under my profile on my listing.

There is a post on this issue where a fellow host (@Angela1056) has put up useful screen shots and even if we are not from the same country, the place to enter a registration is exactly the same for me too and as I indicated to you.  Have a look to see if your interface is the same or if there is a bug of some sort your end:

It may be that you are required to get a license for STR in Bisbee, but NOT required to add a "registration numer" the local authority on Airbnb formally. It seems in these cases, Hosts List their registration number under the Description in Other Details section (which I see you have). I checked some other listings in Bisbee and they do the same. It could be the City of Bisbee is working on this and at some point you may be required to enter the registration number in the Regulations Section.

If the jurisdictions involved have a formal agreement with Airbnb to REQUIRE they add a registration number to the regulations section, then that section will appear in preferences as noted. If you don't see the Regulations section, then the City of Bisbee has not mandated that...yet. "Yet" being the operative word. More and more jurisdictions are requiring mandatory registration (not just licensing). This enables the jurisdiction to prevent Hosts from listing a property in the first place without a license, as Airbnb will prevent it (and other OTA platforms). You can always contact the City and ask them how to be in compliance, but it looks like you have been very thorough in your description about what is required.

Just because "registration" is not currently mandated, licensing obviously still is required. It doesn't mean a Host can operate without a license and meeting all the requirements. It just means the local jurisdiction must do their own "policing" and can (and do) have the ability to follow-up with their own employees to investigate complaints and do safety inspections for violations. There are also required local taxes that must be paid in some jurisdictions and if the listing is illegal, back taxes and fines can be assessed.

The fire inspector came today for my annual inspection. He let the mayor, city manager, and finance manger know they need to contact Airbnb with their regulations. He doesn’t want to be without a job either. The $250 annual license fee covers his salary.
