Who writes Airbnb's Policies? You Should Not, You Should, Do Not etc
Hello fellow Airbnb community
It has come to our attention that much of parts of Airbnb's Terms of Service Policies /Help pages are written in a negative manner, that of "You should Not", " You should", "Do not".
This is not how Legislation or Laws or Rules are generally written by those who have a Legal background or as part of Legally binding documents.
The use of the words ''May and Reasonable, and / or'' are more widely used and accepted terminology.
We were shocked to read the words "You should not", no less than 16 times in one short page as follows.
Rules
Our Community Standards
https://www.airbnb.co.nz/help/article/3328?_set_bev_on_new_domain=1706745501_ZjM0Y2E4OWVlOWJk
On another page we read the words ''Do Not'' at least 30 times, in fact it was probably closer to 50 times.
Perhaps fellow Hosts and other interested parties, ( ooops should we use the word 'Parties' (???) can put forth their suggestions in here to ensure a positive approach to ABB Consumers instead of recent leaning towards treating us with negativity and baddies and Babies
@Breanna @Sophia @Paula @Bhumika @Quincy @Brian @Stephanie @Tara-Bunch
We would appreciate a much more positive approach with the way Airbnb's Terms of Service/ Help pages/ Policy pages are written.
We are Adults after all not babies or children.
Thanks in advance.

@Helen427 I would actually expect Airbnb to take a different approach. In most cases I would want them to replace 'should/should not' with 'must/must not' The former being a recommendation the latter being an instruction.

Like others, We were raised to recognise The 10 Commandments, not 16 to 30 plus of Repeat after me,
You Should Not,
You Should Not,
You Should Not,
You Should Not,
You Should Not,
You Should Not,
You Should Not,
You Should Not,
You Should Not,
You Should Not,
You Should Not,
You Should Not,
You Should Not,
You Should Not,
You Should Not,
You Should Not
And
Do Not
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Do Not,
Must Not as you suggest is also Negative.
The page either needs to be Edited and written concisely without the Repetition of the same words, or removed in it's entirety as it's not treating Adults who are aware there are Common Laws in our Jurisdictions with Respect or inclusiveness.
As an aside, It's clogging up the Internet with more Junk traveling through Submarine and Satellite Telegraph Communication Systems and using up Energy that could be used elsewhere in our World!!!!

Unfortunately due to Algorithms picking up Banned words here in the Community Centre, we are unable to include the link to the Topic that @Brian Chesky wrote on advice Peter Thiel gave him in this era, however here's the main link to Brian's own writings we perhaps may like to remind him of, and why has Airbnb Lost the plot with it's Culture?
