Hi hosts!
We have 3 listings on our lovely property in Far North Queensland (Australia), where we also reside. We're taking a month off (July 7 - August 7) and we're exploring what the possibilities might be for an experienced host (or a couple) to housesit and manage our listings.
Free accommodation + management fees + option to do the cleaning (we have cleaners who live nearby).
The thought arose that surely there must be some folks who love to travel and who have these skills - ideally superhosts. (What a great way to see the world with minimal cost, and stay in some wonderful places!)
We're curious to know whether there is a website or Facebook group (or something else) that is specifically dedicated to this, or whether this forum can cover it off ...?
Cheers!
Maia 🙂
There are lots of host swap sites but I haven't seen any for those that want to swap listings and host them if that's what you mean.
Personally unless it's essential to have someone on site I would just pay an experienced local cohost with great reviews to host it for you @Maia238
Thanks, appreciated. 🙂
We wanted to try this first as we need a housesitter anyway, and it's a lovely place that people like to stay at.
Plan B is locals and we have some options with that. It's not our preference, though we're glad to have a plan B.
Also had the thought with local co-hosts that if we are the competition, they might prefer we weren't getting 5 stars. Curious to hear of other hosts experience with co-hosting?
I cohost two other properties to me they aren't competition as we target different types of guests and have different types of accommodation @Maia238
Good to know. A bit different here, though I'll give it more thought. Thanks. 🙂
