I am a host who does the cleaning myself, can I put my time down as an expense?

@Michelle1780  It depend on how busy you are and how much profit you are making while hosting.

I personally have a maid who comes 3 times per week to clean my listings. All my guests are always grateful towards me for providing this service.I do not charge them separately for this,i simply include it in my pricing.

I would advice you to get a house keeper if you want to save time and take your Airbnb to another level.

Good luck and happy hosting!!!

I'm not sure but if you are doing it to save tax then you will achieve little as the 'expense' for cleaning will just become your income so a net zero saving results.

For those married people in the UK Holiday Let income can I believe, be allocated to either partner which can use tax free allowances efficiently

@Michelle1780 is in Australia so any answers should take that into account.

In the US, time is NOT deductible on your taxes.
