custom promotions not showing on front page

I have created a custom promotion from 28th feb - 4th March and offered 15% discount.  I should be getting a strikethrough of original price making it obvious when people start searching that there is a discount.  However it does not show on the front page and therefore there is no incentive for people to click through and see the promotion.  Am I doing something wrong or is this normal and if so why?!

it only shows " special offer" in the booking form when entering the specific dates.

Seems a glitch to me, as now promotions are not exposed to potential guests.

Using a ruleset and decrease price by 15% will probably give more exposure then this "promotion".
