I suddenly stopped receiving emails to my outlook account from air bnb - they only appear as a text message on my phone. I have set up in notifications email and phone - all has been working fine for 5 years and then email stopped. I have spoken to support 12 times and getting no where. I have checked everything they suggest - cookies, cache etc. Email address correct - nothing changed at my end but it is still not fixed.
Anyone else had this problem ?

Yes, they always try to first blame it on everything but their own tech glitches.
These things happen sometimes. I stopped receiving text alerts a few years ago. First the rep suggested that my text inbox was full (duh, I'm not so stupid I wouldn't have checked that before wasting time contacting CS), then that it must be a problem with my phone provider (no), and only then did the rep deign to talk to the tech team who acknowledged the glitch was on their end. Took a month to get my text alerts again.
Send Airbnb a message. Start the message with TECH ISSUE- Please pass on to the tech team.
Then super briefly, just say your email alerts have not functioned since the end of Dec. Good luck.
If you are still receiving text alerts, why would you miss an inquiry?
Do you still receive "normal" emails from Airbnb (like "payout sent") ?
Do you receive your emails in a way they are transferred from the emailserver to your computer (reading them offline) ? If so, did you checked also online (via the webinterface) your email box if the missing emails are there ? Or maybe redirected to the SPAM map or to some other map by a specific setting ?
To find out the issue is definitely not related to your email software: use another emailaddress......
BTW Airbnb should be able to see if the email notifications are sent anyway, but the average support rep probably does not have the knowledge or the proper access......
I don’t get any emails from Airbnb to my outlook account anymore it’s only happened since end of December
when I go into my listing messages are in my message box but I have to to my listing
i use a desk top computer not an app
i list with other holiday platforms trip advisor and vbro and I am still receiving mail from them to my outlook account
regards
I do not get email notifications either. Not sure why. I use to get emails all the time. Most of time I do not get text messenges on the Airbnb app unless I tap it and then the message appears. There is a delay in my response for inquires and for existing guest that have questions, etc. Very frustrating. I even remove the Airbnb app from my phone them uploaded it again thinking that might work. So far no changes. I'm constantly checking my phone to see if I have messages. I'm on instant booking so guest will get a automatic greeting but not for my inquires or exiting guest with questions. Hopefully this will get better. Naturally we are graded on response time. But what if it's not our fault?
Thanks for reply - i got emails for the last 5 years then suddenly stopped this december - I have a desk top - windows 11 - airbnb are saying its my outlook account but as far as I am aware nothing has changed. I have spoken to support numerous times but they dont seem to understand the problem. I dont have instant book so I am afraid I will miss enquiries.
I have wasted so much time with trying to sort this out and still not resolved.

Hi Sarah, it was some time ago but did you get resolution to this?
I’m getting some emails but not all.
ie. Some booking confirmation but not all, some payout but not all
My IT is saying the issue is definitely not my end - the emails are not being received at all.
It used to be perfect up to about a month ago.
Im keen to find out if you got it sorted and how
Thank you 🙏🏻
Thanks - will try - dont always look at my phone but tend to check emails regularly - just having to keep my eye on the phone now all the time.
@Deborah498 You don't have a ring tone for texts? I'm not one of those people who's a slave to their phone, either, carrying it around like another appendage, but I hear it ring when I get a text.
I'm also not a slave to answering inquiries or requests. I turn my phone off at night when I go to sleep. If a guest can't wait until morning to get a reply to a message they sent at what is the middle of the night for me, then they aren't the kind of people I want as guests. 🙂
