re in Canada the new gst rules for digital platforms ... i do not charge gst due to my income as per tax law and Airbnb still want s to charge gst on my room rate this is illegal

Hi Jean

I have the same questions. I contacted Revenue Canada and they said if I make under $30,000 I don’t have to pay gst. It’s Airbnb’s responsibility to collect it. They will charge the extra tax on my booking but  I still don’t think that’s fair because it will put my total price up.
