registration in rome
To start an Airbnb short term rental business, do I need to be an Italian national? I am a recent graduate from University of la Sapienza Rome, as a Sustainable building Engineer and I want to start Airbnb business. Any help and suggestions would be really appreciated. @Helen3

Welcome to the Community Center @M-Zakria0, I was able to find an article in our Help Center about Hosting in Rome which you might find useful (click here) 👈
Alternatively, you could also try and ask your question the Italian Community Center by clicking here 👈
Good luck!

Hello @M-Zakria0
When you say you want to start an Airbnb business - are you thinking of becoming a co-host maybe or actually listing a place? I imagine it makes a difference if you own the property that you wish to list on Airbnb or if you would be sub-letting it?

Thanks for your response.
That’s what i’m still confused that what is the difference between own the property and sub-letting it?

A host is someone who lets out their own property or one that they have permission from their landlord to sublet for STR @M-Zakria0
a cohost is someone with extensive experience of hosting who offers cohosting services to other hosts

Have you checked your student visa to see if you are allowed to run a business ? @M-Zakria0
