renting a kayak to our guests

We are a 1`5 minute walk ( or a 5 minute drive) from a great kayak area.   Calm water, protected harborgood area to explore for an hour or two by kayak.

Thinking about one of these options, 

1. showing a pair of sit on kayaks in our guest book

2. offering guests the opportunity to borrow the kayaks during their stay, 

or

3. offering guests an hourly rental to use the kayaks in the nearby area.

Wondering about liability, insurance, other pros and cons.

Are you a big kayak fan yourself? I've got to say, I've not had a chance to try but would definitely give it a go in the right setting. 😃
