** using fake invoices to bill guests.

used fake invoices to extort his guests for money after their stay. Basically, Sergio is running a scam. Two weeks after staying at his place and writing a review Sergio will bill the AirBnb guest $600 for "smoking".

However, I do not smoke and did not / would not in any location.

Sergio will then send himself an invoice from his LLC (Jungle House) for "cleaning", which he then passes on to the AirBnb guest for money. So basically you have to fight through AirBnB to make sure no one takes your money.

@Chris135 hopefully Airbnb will catch on to this behaviour and remove him as a host

He has a right to bill for smoking if it's in his rules though even if it's his own cleaning company.

Years ago a security deposit would have been held and then deducted from you at a vacation rental (still at hotels). Nowadays with Airbnb there is no security deposit from guests going to hosts. If a host bills for unexpected cleaning (including smoking) hosts usually have to show proof to Airbnb. If the host requested payment from you and you declined paying them saying you didn’t smoke. That’s usually end of story.

I had a broken outdoor shower door years ago, and it happened during a guest stay. I submitted a (not fake) invoice or estimate for repair to the guest and I asked them if they broke it. They said no. I didn’t have proof they broke it, so end of story. I paid for the fix myself. I’m wondering what exactly you had to fight?
