Well , I’m bored and I love armchair traveling, so I looked up private rooms in Moscow for some dates in May.
It seems there are many rooms in the $20-$30 per night range.
But there also some that are over $100 per night. These look like actual hotel rooms or rooms in very luxurious apartment buildings with grand views.
If you are close to the center and tourist attractions, you can charge more than if you are in the suburbs. How big is the room? How many beds? How luxurious is the building and apartment? Which amenities does it have? Can guests use the kitchen? Will they have their own private bathroom?
Most hosts start with lower prices to get their first guests and reviews and then raise them a little. But dont’ go too cheap, or you will attract cheap guests.
Ignore the prices that Airbnb suggests and find some comparable rooms to yours and see what they are charging. Comparable meaning same neighborhood, similar size, similar amenities and level of luxury.
