Hi there,
Sometimes I list my apartment as a Private room only (shared apt, if I'm home too), and sometimes I list it as an Entire apartment.
Coming up there are dates where I'm away, and would like to list the Entire Apt listing, and dates when I'm home, and want to list the Private room listing.
I would like to have these both running at the same time, the dates don't overlap, but its not letting me.
The catch is, if I list one of them (The Private room), I cant actually advertise the Entire apt listing at all! And of course the other way round.
Perhaps theres a different way around this, doing it all within the one listing - that would be, some dates its shows as a Private room/Shared apt, and some dates it shows as an Entire apt listing. Is this possible? Please let me know, Thanks!
@Matt68 Have you tried listing both and linking the calendars? You can block the dates manually on the listing when you don’t want to make it available.
Thanks Katrina,
I don't see how that would work - it won't let you list two listings if they have the same address.
Unless I'm missing something.
(I also haven't heard of linking calendars, curious to know what that means)
Thx!
@Matt68 I have three listings with the same address because they are two separate suites and the third listing is for the entire house. When you link the calendars, you won’t get any double bookings. It works really great! I have separate pictures for the cover photos, I wonder if that makes a difference?
When you link the calendar if someone has one of the listings booked, the other listing blocks those dates automatically. If you have the app go into calendar and click the gear symbol at the top right corner. That gives you access to link the listings. Hope that helps!
Thanks Katrina, this is quite interesting. Ill try changing the cover photo if need be, otherwise I'l check it all out now! Thank you!
@Matt68 Just a thought, when I created my listings I do so separately, I didn’t click on the duplicate listing button.
Ok - I tried this - I linked the calendars in the app successfully, I even did it on the website too (unlinked and linked again, and linked them the other way round too), but i still can't list that second listing, even when they're linked.
It just says "You can't have more than one listing with the same address".
So I'm stuck as to how to get around this...
I really don't want to delete the listing and create from scratch (to try creating by not duplicating), just in case thats it. Hours of work there! ..
Is there anything at all different about the addresses you have for each listing?
Or any other thoughts ?
