I have a guest requesting to book and she has sent 2 messages so far...the first was normal, explaining why she was booking. In the second message she is saying she had accidentally used her 'hidden' airbnb profile?? I have not heard of this...what does she mean? Why does she have 2 profiles with 2 different passwords? She says she cant remember one of them...

To add to that airbnb even hides websites url's. I'd be suspicious of someone with two profiles personally. Sometimes their main profile has bad reviews so they create a new one, then end up booking with their old one before you think to check the reviews. It's possible that its nothing bad though and she just has two profiles for different things, or one is shared with a spouse. If you get bad vibes from this person I'd reject them, we've been in similar situations.
Sorry, have re-read the message and Airbnb have hidden parts of what she has written....I guess that means she is trying to pass on an email address or telephone so I can contact her outside of Airbnb? I'm guessing this is not good.
Not necessarily. If she says something like “email me because I don’t want to pay through Aribnb” then yes, bad news. But many people try to list their email addresses or phone numbers as a signature or just letting you know that they can and want to be contacted. They do not know that Airbnb forbids such words and numbers automatically. Just let her know that you would prefer to kept all communication through the airbnb messaging and that after she officially confirms you will be able to see her cell number for emergencies.
Thank you for your response, its much appreciated. I have replied to the guest saying that parts of her message were hidden by Airbnb so I am uncertain what she was trying to say..Will wait to see if she responds. Thanks again.
