A guest said that they tripped in my home and has filed a claim. I received an email from Allstate.

Has anyone else been through this process that could walk me through it and share some insight. I have been  a host for 5 years but this is my first incident. A bit scary

@Carole325 I would advice you to immediately contact Airbnb. Let them know the situation and see if they can help. You can reach them on this number 1 (855) 424-7262 .Also contact a lawyer and ask for advice on what you can do.Good luck!

If the guest wanted to make a claim you should have contacted Airbnb so they could make a claim against their host protection insurance.

This is why you need to have your own insurance policy with public liability cover.

I have my own policy. I have no idea about this process. I will call Airbnb and ask them what to do. Thank you for your input!
