A guest switched to a larger property but the other transaction is still pending in her account

A guest switched to a larger property but the other transaction is still pending in her account

I have 2 properties and a guest had put in a request for one but then ending up booking the other property of mine.  The original transaction is still pending on their account.  Do they need to request a refund or does the pending transaction fall off on its own?

If they did not complete the booking, then they haven't paid, so there's nothing to do.
