Hey everyone,
I am ulrico ..and have a villa in the amalfi coast this is the link to my villa
however yesterday a guest complained that there is an identical villa offered by another land lord. Some scammer called Lorenzo.
She was right I went to check and this below is the scam link
***
I reported this to Airbnb ..but nothing has been done yet. The scammer is there ready to play I do not know which trick. The client run away and went to another site..and says taht Airbnb is unreliable. I am getting scared too. If they do not take the scammer out I will take my villa off as I I do not want ot be associated with second tier rental web sites.
Anyone got a suggetsion?
Hi ,
Go to the profile of the scamer and flag him - you find the option for this under his profile pic. This way a security team will view his activity and ban him.
Whichever platform you use to advertise your property, there will always be clever scammers out there trying to benefit. It is not unusual for owners to advertise on more than one site, so sometimes the scams are hard to pinpoint. You have been in luck as some vigilant potential guests found out out for you.
@Ulrico0 Was the fake listing also on Airbnb or another website? Scammers are known to pretend to be guests saying they found your listing on another website for less money enticing hosts to go look. This is very dangerous as the new site asks for you to login thereby giving the scammers your password. If the fake listing was on another website and you went there and entered your password, you need to contact Airbnb to be sure your account is not compromised. If you need more details, reply here.
How do we contact Airbnb?
Responding to guest is not working right from my inbox, I have no idea how to contact Airbnb to let them know there is a problem.
@Aileen19 , hi fellow AZ host!
With your post you resurrected an old post about a completely different subject, from over a year ago. It would help a lot if all of us paid attention to where we post our questions.
how to contact Airbnb is a question that comes up every day: go the the "Community Help" board here in the forum, the first post there explains all there is to know about how to contact Airbnb.
most likely your issue is one of those Airbnb glitches that will be gone before you even read this answer. Good luck!
