Ablehnung einer Gästeanfrage

Hallo,

Vielen Dank,

Christine

At my accommodation there are on certain days (Fr-Sun) a minimum stay of 2 days and it has happened several times that I have received requests for this period, but then in the text was asked for only 1 night. Unfortunately, I had to reject these requests. Now, it is true that more rejection of guest requests lead to regulations by Airbnb (eg the downgrade in the ranking). I think that's a pity, because I have not made any false information, but the guests have desires that do not fit my offer.
It would be great if someone could give me advice for these cases!

@Christine859 It's a common problem: guests wanting something else then what you offer, or not reading the listing very well. In such cases i myself give an answer AND also ask the guest to cancel the inquiry (yes, an inquiry can also be cancelled). As you want only guests for 2 nights stay in the weekend (i noticed you calender is properly setup for that), maybe also mention this very clear in the listing, and also mention that there is no exception. Hopefully then less guests of the type "i-wish-to-stay-1 night-in-the-weekend" will show up with unnessecary questions.

Best regards, Emiel

@Emiel1Hi Emiel, thank you so much for your answer!

I did exactly what you said, I gave her a very nice answer and asked the guest to cancel, but she didn`t.  So I had to cancel 😞

It is a good idea to mention it more clearly in the listing, I will try this!

Thanks again,

Christine
