Some Taiwan frauder hacked my account. I received a booking notification of $1188 at a Taiwan address. Here is what they did: - associated a business email account (with $$ credit given): [email address removed], a Taiwan free email server. - change my airbnb to airbnb.tw and Traditional Chinese language - booked a $1188 trip with a Taiwan address. The credit card is from someone else, so they can laundry stolen credit card with this hacked account. - Airbnb noticed abnormal, but their system emails are in all became Traditional Chinese language, which I didn't read. Eventually, the money is refunded, but my concern is that I uploaded so many critical identity info and linked my social accounts like LinkedIn. These hackers jumped over my phone and I didn't realize it's compromised until Airbnb refund it. I don't know where else to feedback to Airbnb, so I wrote this post. Hopefully, this can help other victims.
