@Vivek12 - In this day and age, the idea of doing something on behalf of your spouse seems to be going by way of the dodo. Privacy laws have gotten to be so strict that only the individual with the name on the account can act on it. It's not unreasonable to want to try and help out - to try and get the host on the line so your husband knows the reservation is legit, I get it, but I can also see Airbnb's side too.... it's not your reservation, it's your husband's and it's your husband's account.
I've tried to get issues resolved for my husband's car loan - nope - I'm not on the loan so I can't do anything to help. Tried to resolve problems with our HSA - nope - I'm not the primary. Tried to get my husband's medical records moved - nope - HIPAA. Perhaps it's better than the days when a jilted lover could clear out a bank account or when we required spousal permission for surgery, but it's definitely more frustrating.
