AirBNB paying VA taxes is a hoax. There are only three muncipalities that have an agreement. Fake

I checked with our Commissioner of Revenue for York County VA and she proclaimed AirBNB's statement as very misleading. And, the only way

that you can have a guest pay the tax is to ask them to pay up when they arrive, via "Special". I don't know about anyone else but I am not going

to insult my guests and drive away business. AirBNB should correct their false claim.

@Mary-and-Davis0

Your listing shows following taxes are charged to guests by Airbnb:

General Sales and Use Tax (York)
General Sales and Use Tax (Virginia)
Local Sales and Use Tax (Regional Transportation District)
Local Sales and Use Tax (Historic Triangle District)

This is also mentioned in the HELP section

Taxes charged are also listed in your earnings overview.

Why do you think it is fake ?

Best regards,
Emiel

I will scan and attach the letter from the Commissioner Of Revenue from York County that tells me I have to pay the 5.6  % and $2 for each room. I have seen nothing on your reports to reflect this and I see nothing about our $25 cleaning fee. Please review.
