Hi - before Christmas we had three months almost back to back bookings, all 5 star reviews, and superhost status 4 times in a row. Since the beginning of January, we haven't had a single booking and when I searched for my listing within Edinburgh it didn't come back at all (at least not in the first 7-8 pages of available properties.
This seems to have co-incided with the launch of AirBnB plus - has that affected how other listings appear in search results? Has anyone else had this problem?
your instant book is turned off and maybe this is the reason.
If you turned it on and it is not showing then you are penalized for canceling a booking, declining request or if your guest canceled within 48 h period
This Perl is new, from September, there are other posts about it
Hi, thanks for replying, I checked my Instant book and it is turned on (I haven't ever switched it off) so I don't think that can be the reason. I haven't changed any settings from before Christmas and we took loads of instantly booked reservations. Any other suggestions? it all a bit curious, and frustrating...
@Jo408 its not switched on (it might look switched on when you check your dashboard), as @Branka-and-Silvia0 explained airbnb have disabled it as a penalty for some petty reason. Other posts mention it being available again after a month or two, give CS a ring, you might be lucky and get someone willing to help who knows about it.
If you turned the instant book on but your listing is not instant bookable then YOU ARE PENALIZED by Airbnb for canceling a booking, declining request or because your guest canceled within 48 h period (yes you can be penalized for your guest's actions too - unbelievable )
This perl is new, you can be penalized for cancelations done months ago.... there are other posts about it 😞
