AirBnb guest stole my delivery/package

Hello!

I live in an apartment complex and one of my neighbors rents out his unit as an AirBnb. Back in February, one of his tenants stole a package that was left in front my apartment door. I have video footage of this happening. I advised the host about the issue and he claimed that those guests had also stolen some of his property and that AirBnb advised him (and to advise me) to file a police report and provide an invoice for what was in the package so that he can file a claim with AirBnb. I provided all of that to the host a few days later. I've been requesting updates from him for the past 2 months now but he keeps saying everything is with AirBnb already and that he can't do anything else. He stopped responding to my messages all together about 2.5 weeks ago. I filed a complaint via www.airbnb.com/neighbors about 2 weeks ago but have not received any communication from them apart from the initial confirmation email. I also called AirBnb but they said they don't have access to the AirBnb Neighbors department and to wait until they get in touch with me. I've thought about changing the police report and naming the AirBnb host as the responsible party for the crime but I am not sure if that would have any effect.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

A difficult one. Try Airbnb on social media @Robert1636

What did the police say about what they have done about tracing and charging the guest?

They actually haven't done anything. I just went to file a police report because it was apparently requested by AirBnb so that I could get reimbursed somehow but the officers at the station didn't suggest that they were going to do anythign about it. Maybe I should go back there and request further assistance?
