Am I just paranoid that I'm getting scammed?

Just last week I opened up my July calendar for airbnb. with in 2 days  I have now had 3 seperate requests to book for the whole month of July from 3 females that all are in the 4th year of medical school and coming to NYC for july to do a rotation.

As I did speak with one of the girls more in depth who had verified phone number email, facebook accounts etc- she did explain that a lot students will do roations in july because residency applications are due in September. That all makes perfect sense, but I have never had 3 almost identical requests from 3 different poeple.

One of the requests came from a profile names Kimberly, but in her message tells me her name is Megan. Thats when I started getting suspect. Because it reminds me of face book spam bots.

Any suggestions? Has Anyone else seen this before?

It's probably totally legit.... but what if it's not??? lol

I think that's ok that they are coming for same reason. I also had two request for same reasons. May be you can check properly that, is there any event like this is happening in the city. Best of luck.

My first thing I would do is ask for their reference from a teacher or somebody on the faculty to confirm. They shouldn't have any problem providing this information if they really are what they say they are. If not pass them by!
