BC Canada taxes - cleaning fees/deductions/GST threshold etc

Hoping for some clarification as I read different things in news articles than what my accountant says (and I wonder if he isn't that familiar with Airbnb & treats same as rental).

1. He says cleaning fees should be included as income, but if that is the case, then I assume CRA would use that amount towards the $30000 small supplier GST threshold.  Is that correct?  That makes it even tougher to get under the 30k and I'd rather keep it that way until at least AIrbnb decides to also add that to the charge options since it would be so intrusive to ask every guest for separate tax.

2. Sometimes we clean if we have time or its a weekend etc - so we have to also claim that income fine, but he is saying we can't deduct that income.  Is that true?  It's a required expense so can we not call our labour a deduction?  I know you can't deduct labour on repairs for a long term rental, but this is sort of a required service to run the business.  Can anyone confirm?
