Bad guest - how to leave a review

Hi guys,

I'm fairly new to the community so I'd need advice on how to leave review for my guests. My guests are very young (19) and it's their first time using Airbnb so I assume they had zero knowledge on general ettiques and common sense on staying at others' places. A few issues worth mentioning:

- Shoes in house the whole time despite clearly communicated in house rule

- Guests trash the house with sands everywhere

- Generally wasteful: Loading a full cycle of dishwasher for 2 dishes; exessive toilet paper usage (15 rolls for 2 people in 14 days - none for personal use. All paper cores are found in the bathroom's trashbin so I assume its usage goes straight to the toilet - Is this even normal!?); 3 loads of laudry only at 1/3 capacity running for 3 hours staight and dryer use (oblivious to the fact that this is very sunny 40* Australia)

- Inconsiderate of people's timing: Eg doing laundry at 2am

It's been difficult to communicate the issues with my guests because we are both new to the community and obviously have very different expectations. I've decided to bit the bullet because I need good reviews to give my listing a headup. This is a personal lesson of mine and I know from now to make my rules/expectations clear. But I was just wondering how to leave a diplomatic review to caution other hosts without giving myself a bad face.

Please advise.

Thank you

@Chau9 They won't see your review until after they have already left their own review or after 14 days at which they can no longer leave a review so you should just be honest. Keep your review factual but without your own personal emotions, like you would a legal letter. Even if these guests are young, they blantantly ignored house rules. Hopefully they will learn with more experience but in the meantime it is important to let other hosts know what to expect if these guests continue to use airbnb.

You could say something like "Turnover for guest bedroom took considerably more time and expense than usual. These guests needed extra reminding to be considerate of house rules."

I would also adjust your house rules acordingly. Allowing guests to only do one load of laundry with an agreed time and then locking the laundry door outside this time or depending on the guest's stay, only supplying x number of toliet rolls, etc. You can figure out what works best for you, these are just a few of my suggestions. Also in my country we flush toliet paper down the toliet. I rememeber when visiting vietnam, I need to dispose of it in the waste bin so this is actually something you should inform guests about if they are foreign. Good luck!
