Hello Air BnB
I'm Corey Banks, and I'm very new to Air BnB. I have an very nice home in Desoto Texas and live alone so I decided to Host this month... if all goes well I plan to continue.
Are there any good tips for a beginer ?

@Corey81 I find your listing confusing. You list it as private room rental, then in the listing description you mention Entire house rental. I see at one point you mention you live in the house, but that's not really stated in a way to make it clear to guests.
If you want to be able to rent out the Entire house when you're not there, you need to create 2 separate listings, one for the entire house rental, and one for the private rooms rental. Then you link the calendars so that one becomes unavailable if the other is booked.
I think the way you've set up your listing, you're going to have a lot of people booking, thinking they are getting the entire place to themselves, when in fact, they aren't.
If guests will be sharing the kitchen and living room with you, you need to make that clear.
I would also not post photos of the front of the house- it's a security risk for you. It allows people to drive around the neighborhood until they recognize it, then try to make some private deal with you. Also theives have been known to target Airbnb houses. You can always send your confirmed guests a photo of the front of the house before check-in via email if you think it will assist them in locating it.
More and better photos of the bedrooms- the ones you have are dark. If there's a backyard seating area, show that.
As far as tips for new hosts, I'd suggest you spend a bit of time each day reading through some of the posts on this forum- there's so many learning curves to hosting on Airbnb- you'll get lots of valuable info from other hosts here.
