Wondering if there is any benefit of having the last minute discounts set? It says that if they are set guests wont be able to see them but doesnt that defeat the purpose of them then? The last minute discount should be there to intise a potental guest to book your place but they if dont know its there until they go to book arent you effectivly just giving them a discount for the sake of if since they were about to book anyways?
It shows as a lower rate in the search results for the searched dates, but it is not promoted as being a "last minute" discount. But where should it be promoted, on the calender with a special color ?
Best regards,
Emiel
@Josh-and-Joanna0 Although it could certainly bring you more bookings to fill a dead night, I'd be wary of offering last minute discounts. The reports from hosts here seem to indicate that guests who book last-minute tend to be the most problematic guests. There can be legitimate reasons why someone is caught in a last-minute bind, but most responsible people plan ahead. So you could open yourself up not only to bad guests who haven't bothered to read your listing description at all, and be offering a discount to them which will make it all seem not worthwhile. Personally, I think last-minute bookers should be charged more.
I totally agree with you Sarah.
The last minute bookers should be charged more - not get any discounts.
It works beautiful for me, just happend this Saturday.
The guests IB same day and cashed up good money for one night 😉
