Booked a room on airbnb but chose the wrong date and now the date has passed

I wanted to book a room for september 8th and 9th but accidentally put in august instead, i realized yesterday what happened and the trip has already been completed, i messaged the owner and they said theres nothing they can do because the date has passed, is there absolutely no way i could get my money back?

The owner has been payed and you did not show up.

That's easy money for the host..

Was there not any communication upfront about arrival time etc.. ?

I fear you lost your money and have to blame yourself...

no there wasnt the host didnt say anything even though i reserved it on the 8th of august for the 8th of august by mistake. well, lesson learned i guess. thanks.

I'd say no. The host's place was blocked and they shouldn't lose out due to your error. Sorry, @Shereen12, one of life's lessons.
