Booked a trip with instant book, however the listing still appears to be available on the calendar.

I booked a week long trip, which was confirmed by the host. However doing a search for the listing I booked will show that it's still available to be booked for three days in the middle of my week long stay. I reached out to the host and confirmed my reservation, but did not address the fact that the listing is still available.

I'm concerned that double-booking could or has already occuured. Thoughts?

Perhaps the host accepts guests in two rooms in the house?  If you're booking a private room and not an entire home/apartment, that's a possibility.  I've never seen Airbnb allow a double booking, so while it's possible, there may be another explanation.  There are hosts who simultaneously host one room in their house, and the whole house, and block one if they get a booking in the other, but the host would probably have mentioned that.

If it's your first booking and you're still completing the verification process after some time has passed, Airbnb may open the host's calendar again to other inquiries, but if you both see everything confirmed, you probably don't need to worry.
