Perhaps the host accepts guests in two rooms in the house? If you're booking a private room and not an entire home/apartment, that's a possibility. I've never seen Airbnb allow a double booking, so while it's possible, there may be another explanation. There are hosts who simultaneously host one room in their house, and the whole house, and block one if they get a booking in the other, but the host would probably have mentioned that.
If it's your first booking and you're still completing the verification process after some time has passed, Airbnb may open the host's calendar again to other inquiries, but if you both see everything confirmed, you probably don't need to worry.
