Booked an apartment, and the adress provided wasn't the right one

So I booked an apartment,  and after the host confirming the booking I took the adress provided on the listing too check where the apartment was exactly but I didn't really see the street view that I saw in the pictures, so I asked the host about the adress and she said it was a proximity of where the apartment is located and that she would provide me the real adress but I still haven't gotten it, now this is my first time booking with airbnb so I'm not sure If this is normal or not but i am a bit nervous because this is going to be a stay for a month.

You should be able to check out the neighbourhood with the approximate location that you're currently being shown. It's usually over a reasonably small enough area to do that.

As @Anonymous says, one the 48 hour grace period is over, you should have the full address.

The hostess finally answered and she said she would send me the full adress on what's app before I arrive,  is this normal?  Or do you think I should contact airbnb about it , I leave for marrakech next week

I don't think there is a 48 hour grace period if booked within two weeks so no reason for the host to withhold the address @Huma0  @Sabri1168

Fair point...

Then the address should already be on the reservation info.

I can see that some hosts are really concerned with security, so it could just be that. Or, it could be something dodgy. Hard to know at this point.

I had a guest cancel her booking the other day because I asked her to upload a proper profile photo (rather than the bunch of flowers she currently has). She wasn't willing to do so for security reasons and, even after I said that was okay (she sent me her IG handle and a photo of herself), she cancelled regardless. She has 29 reviews. I am surprised no one has asked her that before.

So, some people I guess are more concerned about security than others.

I know the area well because I always travel to marrakech but the adress provided is just 1 massive road filled with intersections and stuff, I'll send the hostess another message in the evening I guess.

Personally I would contact Airbnb and ask them to cancel the booking if the host is refusing to share the address of a booking that is less than a week away.

All communications are meant to be kept on the platform not communicated through What's App so there is a full record of discussions. @Sabri1168 .

Either it's a new host who doesn't know what they are doing or a scam.

For a one month booking I would always book with a long established SH hosts with great reviews who provides an address through the platform after the 48 hour penalty free cancellation policy expires or immediately if in two weeks of the booking

You can find their phone number by looking at the Contact Airbnb post at the top of the forum you're posting in.

Yeah she's only giving me the area which I find strange especially since this is my first booking with airbnb I'm a bit worried, but I think I'll give them a call right now if they're still open.
