Booking confirmation

Hi, We just got our first booking.  What does everybody send to their guest confirming booking details etc?

The guest will receive the confirmed reservation also.

The Itenerary will have all information needed on it, if your listing was setup completely.

So just welcome the guest, ask for expected time of arrival and mention additional details if neccesary.

We send an additional booking confirmation which includes also essential information missing in the system confirmation, like:

 

Dear xxx,

Thanks for your booking. We are happy to confirm the following – please double-check:

 

1 private room with separate private bathroom

Arrival: xxx | Departure: xxx

Adults: x (including the booking person; no third-party booking)

Children (2-12 years): 0

Infants: (<2 years): 0

Cancellation policy: ...

 

Check-in: we would like to design your arrival as comfortable as possible for you and we don't want you to wait for us. So for you it is the best, if we could arrange a one hour time slot for your check-in. Maximum period 12:00-22:00 on arrival day.

Check-out: until 12:00 on departure day.

 

Homesharing: we live in the same apartment, but during the Corona pandemic guests get a separate entrance and their own kitchenette, so distance is maintained. Please do not smoke and do not bring animals (the neighbor's cat is here regularly; please follow our house rules regarding assistance animals).

 

Self-catering: In your private kitchenette there is a kettle and tea / coffee maker and coffee as well as a refrigerator and toaster, so you can prepare and eat your own breakfast and snack; stores are within 3 min walking distance. We also keep a comprehensive list of breakfast options in the area. Unfortunately, there are no cooking facilities and no washing machine.

@Melanie915 We just send a quick e-mail thanking the guest for their booking and asking which direction they are coming from so we can send directions nearer the time of their stay.

@Till-and-Jutta0 's message is very comprehensive but would take far too long for us!
