Bookings being accepted by I have not received any notification???

Please help....we recently set up one of our homes on AirBnB and tonight I got an email from a 'guest' asking if we were still on for tomorrow, the problem is that I never received an email or any notification of the booking.  I logged on to Air BnB and see that I have another booking that is showing as 'accepted' but I never accepted nor saw these.  What is happening and how do I ensure that this doesn't happen moving forward???

@Marcia138 Ask the guest whether they have booked your place at all. Maybe they just want to stay/book outside airbnb. Maybe it is another guest of the group.
