Hi everyone...I haven't played around with the calendar before as I wasn't using ABB much...however I want to focuss more now on my listings here.

 

Question about "rule-sets": I will be leaving on vacation from the 10th of May until the 20th of May - I can take check-ins until the 9th of May but no longer afterthat date...however guests can check-out during that time period as long as they arrive before the 9th...how do I go about this without having to block my calendar starting from the 10th? Rather just mention that from the 10th to the 20th I can only allow check-out and not check-in?

Just to add that you should make sure to check it thoruoghly by trying to book your own listing with various checkin and checkout dates before and during the period of the 10th to the 20th.

I think it might be doable if you create two rules.

 

The 10th of May is a Thursday so you could create 1 rule disallowing checkin on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays and apply this to the dates 10th to 14th of May.

Then create another rule disallowing checkins on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and apply thiat rule to the dates 15th to 20th.

You have to create two rules as it's not possible to create a rule disallowing checkins on all days of the week.

I tested it on my listing for January 2019 as I'm booked in May and all dates in January 2019 fall on the same days of the week as in May 2018. It worked to disallow checkins but allow checkouts on the 10th to the 20th.

Thank you very much Steve...apreciate the info. I guess I will have to work on this then.

 

Wouldn't it be easier if ABB would have a way to just click on the date and just adding no check-in or no check-out for that particular date as you do with rates that can be applied on particular days...something to pass on;-)

Hi Everyone! As a host, when I have requested a minimum 7 day stay for travellers during the peak holiday season with check in only on a Friday, the calendar shows a cross through each date except for Fridays giving the impression that the house has been booked out. Does not make sense?

Can anyone assist? 

 

@Duncan48 there isn't really much you as a host can do to affect the way Airbnb displays the calendar.

They really should use some other symbol to indicate that the day is available, but is cannot be used for check-in or check-out.

 

You have set things up correctly, but Airbnb displays it poorly. It is not your mistake.

Hi, If I have on my calendar- Fri,Sat,Sun and Monday available... When do guests check out? Is it Monday or Tuesday?  I want guests to check out Monday. Am I doing this correctly? thanks everyone x
