Can a coupon be split into multiple trips?

Hi, I have a coupon for 100$. I would like to use it for my next reservation, which is 60$. Is it possible to use the other 40$ for a separate reservation, or the coupon can be used only for 1 trip and I'll use the remaining 40$ if I apply it now?

If you don't use the full amount, you won't receive the difference. It disappears. 

What I have done is just picked a more expensive place to use up my $100 in one go. It has been lovely 🙂
