I always leave a review for my guests and really appreciate their feedback/reviews. Are you able to email past guests to ask them to leave a review?

The host & guests are only give 14 days to write their reviews after the reservation ends. Since the system is automated, Airbnb is unable to make any exceptions beyond that period
I've emailed guests that I know loved my place to give us a review and I ask them if I see them when they leave. Since it's a huge factor in how you come up in search listings and everyone really reads the reviews before they book I think it's important since a lot of guests don't realize it affects us negatively in the search engine if they simply don't do one.
Has anyone run across anything any different that says we are not supposed to do that?
There is a automated message to the guest requesting a review. Most guests like to write a review especially if they are impressed with your listing. Sometimes I follow up with a message to the guest hoping their trip went well and expressing a hope they would have time to write a review. I did have one guest that did not write a review and later told me that she didn't because I had so many 5 star reviews she didn't think I needed it. Found that interesting...
