Can a guest make a payment of the full balance rather than a deposit by clicking send money

I presume that the guest used the pay less upfront option where they paid 50% when they booked and will pay 50% later.

No, they must not use the send money button because they will pay and then Airbnb will charge them again a few days before checkin. The guest would then be charged 150%.

If the guest wants to pay the second 50% now they must contact Airbnb support.

There is a contact link in the email the guest received when they made the reservation.
