Cancel a guest who I suspect is planning a party

I had people at my house the other day who had a party. Luckily I was nearby and managed to get rid of them but my house still stinks of weed and the place is filthy. I have a booking for next week, 1 night with no reviews. They live fairly close . I am very suspicious they are planning a party. Unfortunately I will be away and not able to keep an eye on them. I have asked for more information from them and the names of the other guests but nothing yet.

Am I being super wary if I cancel their booking? I know I'll lose my super host status but my house and my neighbours are more important

In the over four years I have participated in this forum, @Claire1296 , following your gut feeling has not been a bad decision.  If you do not get the requested information, especially the names of the other guests, contact Air BNB to cancel the reservation.  Then you might consider changing to a 2 night minimum.  Unless your guests are often a single night due to your location, it is usually not worth the trouble.

If the guest hasn't provided you with the information you need to go ahead with the booking, then ask Airbnb to cancel. As well ask knowing about the other guests I would ask why they choose your place and plans for their stay.

Remind them of your house rules such as no late night noise and hopefully you have something around guests who haven't booked and paid not being on the premises.

If they provide you with information which makes you comfortable then make sure you have get a local co-host to be on hand during the time this guest is booked and I would suggest your co-host books them in personally and reminds them that breaking house rules such as having a party will result in eviction.
